Privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy applies to Text Repeater (the “site”), available at https://textrepeater.it.com. For any privacy question, contact contact@textrepeater.it.com.

2. The text you enter into our tools

Every tool on this site runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. The text you type or paste is processed on your own device and displayed back to you there. It is never transmitted to our servers, stored in a database, written to a log file or shared with any third party. When you close or reload the page, it is gone.

This means we cannot recover anything you entered, cannot see what you generated, and have nothing to hand over if asked.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is served — including your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This data is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults, and is retained for a limited period by the provider.

4. Analytics and session measurement

We use third-party measurement services to understand which pages are visited, which tools get used and where people run into trouble. These services set cookies and collect usage data:

• Google Analytics 4, loaded via Google Tag Manager. It records page views, referring sources, approximate location (derived from IP, not stored by us), device and browser type, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish one visit from another.
• Microsoft Clarity. Clarity produces heatmaps and session recordings — a replay of mouse movement, scrolling and clicks on the pages you visit. It is used to find usability problems, not to identify individuals. Clarity masks text input by default, and we do not disable that masking.

What these services never see is the text you put into a tool. That is processed locally as described in section 2 and is not part of any analytics payload or session recording.

Both services are operated by third parties under their own privacy terms: Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and most browsers’ tracking-protection settings block both services. Blocking them has no effect on any tool on this site.

5. Advertising

This site may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. When ads are active:

• Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this website.

Advertising partners set their own cookies under their own policies. See our cookie policy for the categories involved, and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

6. Local storage

Separately from the cookies described above, we store one item in your browser’s local storage: your light or dark theme preference. It stays on your device, is not a cookie, is never sent to us and is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data removes it.

7. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will act on it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or similar laws — including the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing.

Because the tools process nothing on our side, we hold very little: in most cases only the server logs described in section 3. To exercise any right, email contact@textrepeater.it.com and we will respond within the period required by the applicable law.

9. International visitors

The site is served from a global content delivery network, so pages may be delivered from a server outside your country. The content served is identical static files; no personal data is processed to deliver them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in quietly.
